Something about preparing a meal consisting of raw fish for myself at home feels... wrong? Poke is something I've always trusted restaurants with and although I suppose all I would have to do is purchase sashimi-grade fish and chop it up, it's a mental block I can't get over.
This bowl is for those who share my hesitancy over serving themselves raw fish at home, or for anyone who prefers cooked seafood.
With mostly raw ingredients, this bowl is super quick and easy to whip up. If you already have some cooked jasmine rice on hand, it can be done in about 15 minutes!

Ingredients:
Garlic (finely chopped)
Shrimp
Jasmine rice
Pineapple
Radishes
Avocado
Arugula
Half of a lime
Soy sauce
Cilantro
Sauerkraut
Instructions/Assembly:
Base: Jasmine rice + soy sauce
Add arugula to bowl + squeeze lime juice onto arugula
Chop avocado, radish, cilantro and pineapple and add to bowl as desired
Pan fry shrimp with garlic and olive oil, then add to bowl
Top with sauerkraut
This bowl is well balanced with protein, carbs, fibre and fat to help you feel satiated.
TIP: adding fruit to your savoury meals brings some sweetness to the meal and can help curb sugar cravings as you've already satisfied your taste for sweetness. Not that we need to avoid dessert to be healthy, but if you're trying to avoid your late night ice cream binge and subsequent sugar rush that keeps you awake, this can be helpful!
